This policy explains what popkr collects when you use the site, why it is used, and how to reach the person who operates it.

Who operates popkr

popkr is operated by John Kueh in Australia. In this policy, “popkr,” “I,” and “we” mean that site.

What this site is

popkr is a public K-beauty formula and use database. You can read it without an account. There is no login and no checkout on popkr.com. Purchases happen on retailer sites, under those retailers' terms and privacy policies.

Information we collect

• Visit information. The host (Vercel) and analytics (Vercel Analytics, and Google Analytics when it is configured) receive ordinary web request data: pages viewed, approximate location derived by the provider, device and browser, and referral. Outbound retailer clicks may be recorded as an analytics event so I can see which stores people use.
• Mail you send. If you email me, I receive whatever you put in that message so I can reply. There is no contact form on this site.
• Field Notes and corrections. If you send a first-person Field Note or a factual correction, I keep what you sent in order to review it. A published Field Note shows the product, version, disclosure, context, and observations you agreed to publish. Your email does not need to appear on the page.
• Public sources. Product facts come from brand and retailer listings. Public discussion is cited back to its public URL. That material was already public.

What we do not collect

popkr does not create user accounts, process card payments, or run a contact form.

How we use it

We use this information to:

• publish and maintain the database;
• understand which pages are used and which retailer links are followed;
• reply to mail, review Field Notes, and correct pages; and
• protect the site from abuse.

We do not sell personal information. We do not sell Field Notes to brands. Brands do not get preview, veto, or a private feed of unpublished notes.

Who receives information

Vercel hosts the site and provides analytics. Google may receive analytics events when Google Analytics is configured. If you follow an affiliate or store link, that retailer receives whatever its own page collects. I may also disclose information if required by law or to protect people.

Cookies

Hosting and analytics providers may set cookies or similar identifiers. popkr does not run its own advertising cookies.

Retention

Published pages stay public until they are updated or removed. Analytics are kept for as long as the provider retains them for operating the site. Mail and unpublished Field Notes are kept long enough to act on them.

Your choices

You can read popkr without sending mail. To ask what I hold about you, or to correct or delete it, use the contact page.

Children

popkr is written for adult buyers of skincare. It is not directed at children. If you believe a child sent personal information, use the contact page so I can review and delete it where appropriate.

Changes

I may update this policy as the site changes. The date at the top will change. If a change materially affects how personal information is used, I will say so on this page.
