Check the exact bottle
Korean sunscreen US and Korean versions: check the exact bottle
Popkr editorial · Sources checked September 7, 2026
The short answer
Match the full name, SPF, market label and ingredients—not just the brand or tube color. Relief Sun’s Rice + Probiotics → Rice + Niacinamide rename is different from switching to Day Dew. Different legitimate market formulas are not, by themselves, evidence of a counterfeit.
A rename is not the same as a different formula
Use these official records as identity references, not a universal rule for all packaging. The current source pages were reviewed on 7 September 2026; a source may redirect or change with store region.

| Name on the record | What the source establishes | What to verify on your order |
|---|---|---|
| Relief Sun: Rice + Probiotics / Rice + Niacinamide | The brand’s rename FAQ says the formula and size are unchanged; the label is SPF50+ PA++++. | Which label and market the seller supplies. Do not assume the new name explains every historical ingredient-list difference. |
| Day Dew Sunscreen | A separate US-market SPF 50 broad-spectrum formula with avobenzone, homosalate, octisalate and octocrylene. | The Day Dew name and Drug Facts panel—not a Relief Sun photo used as a stand-in. |
| Round Lab Birch UVLock SPF 45 | The US store lists a specific SPF 45 product. ‘Birch’ also names other products in the line. | The complete UVLock/SPF name and label. A review of another Birch sunscreen is not automatically relevant. |

Check five things before following an offer
Write down the exact candidate you chose. Then compare the merchant listing against its source record. If the title, images and ingredient panel disagree, the listing is not verified just because one part looks right.
Swipe the table sideways to read every option →
| Check | Match it to | If it is missing or inconsistent |
|---|---|---|
| Full product name and SPF | The named formula you compared, including suffixes such as Aqua-Fresh or UVLock. | Ask for the actual label; do not substitute a family name. |
| Market label | The language, sunscreen panel and intended-market information on the supplied bottle. | Ask which version ships to the US. Store currency is not enough. |
| Full ingredients | The current official record for that exact market and product. | Record the mismatch. Do not silently merge lists from different sources. |
| Size and pack count | The selected offer: one 50 mL tube is not a two-pack. | Recalculate price per pack only after the selection is clear. |
| Seller and source date | The actual seller, brand authorization where available, and the latest check. | Treat it as an unverified listing until those details are resolved. |
What packaging can—and cannot—tell you
A new name can be legitimate; an old photograph can also be stale. Neither is enough to identify the item in a seller’s warehouse. Conversely, a convincing photo cannot establish authenticity, storage history or the contents of a shipped bottle.
When details conflict, save the listing and ask the seller or brand to identify the exact item. Do not use a photo-only ‘real vs fake’ checklist as a safety clearance. Brand-controlled authorization evidence is more useful than a seller describing itself as official.
Match reviews to the same version too
Before using a review to predict texture or makeup behavior, look for the full product name and a visible label, plus the post date. If the version cannot be identified, the review may help you ask a question, but it does not answer how your chosen formula wears.
Keep official facts, creator claims and your own trial separate. A creator’s successful makeup combination is useful context—not evidence that a different market formula will feel the same.
If you chose Day Dew or Birch UVLock
Use the linked official formula sources above for that candidate. Do not follow a Relief Sun buying link simply because it is the next product record shown here. Until a merchant comparison has the exact candidate and market, the safe buying decision is to leave the order unfinished.
