Community notes

The questions people keep asking, plus the videos getting passed around. Here’s the useful bit without turning someone else’s routine into a promise for yours.

Texture

“Is Dokdo toner thinner than Birch?”

There aren’t enough reliable side-by-side texture reviews to call one thinner. If feel matters most, compare recent reviews of the exact products rather than guessing from the line name.

Read the public question : Recent thin-toner discussion
Cleanser

“Which foam cleanser branch?”

Start with the cleanser format, then check the full ingredient list and firsthand texture notes. The most popular line isn’t automatically the best fit for your routine.

Sunscreen

“Why did my Korean sunscreen arrive as SPF 45?”

The quickest check is the label system. PA++++ points toward a Korean-market label; Broad Spectrum plus Drug Facts points toward a US SKU. Then match the full name.

Automated summary of the creator’s claims

If you want a skincare line that feels light, soothing, and glowy, this one seems to be a winner.

You can tell the creator really likes these Round Lab products because they keep praising the glow, texture, and how refreshing they feel on skin.

Oh my God, I should call him. Holy shit, look at that glow. What? Let's review Round Lab skincare products and no, this is not a paid promotion. If I don't like something, bitch, I'm gonna tell you straight up. I'm gonna start a series reviewing skincare products because I feel like, bitch, if it's not Lord approved, I'm gonna tell you. I'm lowkey kind of scared because I hate, like, I don't like putting new fucking products on my face that I've never put on my face before. So, let's do this, bitch. So we have here a pine calming Cica pad and then a birch juice moisturizing pad. Now, I'm gonna go for this one because I have like redness and like stuff around my nose like right here. So I'm gonna like soothe sensitive skin and that redness shit. So I'm gonna go with this because a bitch stays moisturized all the time anyway. If you have dry skin, this is for you, girl. The packaging is cute as fuck and they also have like a little pick up tongs over here. I love playing new skincare because if I like something, I'm gonna continually, continually, what the? Continuously use it. Let's try her. Wait, I love using it already. Like I feel refreshed. And also there's nothing on my face, so, yeah, see? And there's no smell too. Wait, here I just go in with either toner pads or like a spray mist before I apply any skincare because you have to think about your face as a sponge, you know what I mean? Like when you're washing dishes, like you can't just put a freaking dry sponge in a dish soap together, you have to like wet the sponge first so that the sponge could like get the dish soap. That's how your skin is too, you know, when you think about it. Facts, bitch. So I have this 25 dollar cleanser. Cleanser. It's my accessory. Cleanser. And what I love about cleansers is that the first ingredient in the back is water. And it has water. So I already know I'm gonna love this because when I double cleanse, I normally go in with an oil cleanser first and for you to take off that oil out of your face, you have to have a water-based cleanser because if it's not water, then it's not coming off, bitch. And we also have the cleanser version of the toner pad, but it's a cleanser version. Oh, my gosh, why am I glitching? The cleanser version of the toner pad. So if you have like redness or like if you have sensitive skin, this one's for you because it also has cica. I mean, cica. And I'm looking at the ingredients, and this has LHA and BHA. And you know if you're a skincare girly, that's good shit right there. Now when it comes to applying toners or anything on your face, make sure you're not going too harsh on your skin. Like make sure you're treating, ow, make sure you're treating your face like a baby's butt. Very like careful. Test if there's a smell test first. There's not. Period. Round lab. I'm gonna tell you, there's a smell somewhere or like alcohol in it. I don't fuck with that shit. We're gonna test if it's good on the skin. Oh, wait, that is a glow. I'm gonna wait a few seconds to see what the reaction is, but I feel really good right now. Okay, I like this. It's like water on your face, but like with vitamins. And now we have ampoules and serums. And how you layer these through your face, you need to like know them. You have to go from thinnest to thickest. Now, I've been doing skincare for years, and just looking at these boxes, this one, I feel like it's gonna be the thinnest consistency out of all of them. This is a calming Cica ampoule, and this is good for calmness, redness, and irritation. Go in. When you're applying your skincare, make sure the tip is not, stop being so dirty, Lord. Make sure the tip is not touching the skin, girl. Like make sure it's like two inches or an inch away from your face. If you touch this to your face, you're putting back like germs and bacteria on the freaking box. It's gonna go in really like careful. Obviously, like put it in your face. Like you can see the glow. Oh my God. Wait, I like this. I'm gonna go in with a dark spot serum because this is also a light consistency, but it's more like, it has more body to it. Going fast as well, because you need to make sure your face is still like damp or like wet so that your face can like, um, suck it in, you know? Wait, this has like yellow things in it. Wait, what is that? Oh, that's the vitamin C in it. Period. I was like, wait, is that like little balls? If you have like an uneven texture on your face, this one's for you. Especially if you have um discoloration, that. Last one, at least I'm gonna go in with a collagen ampoule and this is good for hydrating, firming, and moisturizing. My normal skincare routine is like 15 different products. Mind you, I've only used one, two, three, four, five, like six products. This is not even my skincare routine. In the Korean skincare method, you apply toners like crazy. I apply like eight or like nine different toners. 10 on a good day. But yeah, you're just gonna go in like that. You see how I applied that? This one has the most thickest consistency. Round labs, I haven't used your moisturizer and sunscreen yet, I can already tell this is gonna be Lord-approved. Oh my God, I look like a glazed donut. Okay, round labs also has a deep cleansing sunscreen serum and this is good for elasticity and UV exposed skin. I'm gonna try this even though there's no sun. I'm not going out, so. Uh, consistency. Oh, I like that. General rule of thumb is you do three fingers, okay? Now let's test it on the skin. You see? Oh my God, my face is already glowing from this shit. Holy shit. Oh, I love it. I love it. Oh my God. And it doesn't even, it doesn't even smell like anything because I hate SPF like shit that like, it smells like SPF, you know what I'm talking about? They also have a sunscreen stick, but I'm not really a big fan of like sticks because I don't like applying that shit every time that it's already been on my skin. I would rather go in with like an actual like moisturizing sunscreen. Now for the final test, we're gonna go in with their cream. Let's see if there's a good moisturizing cream. Oh my God, she has a hint of blue. I love that shit. And they also have a spoon. I'm gonna use this because I don't wanna waste it. Oh my gosh, I love the consistency. Very cooling too. Let's apply it. Oh wow. Oh wow. Yep, it's Lord-approved. I love moisturizers that has that water-based like consistency to it, you know? Okay, Round Lab, whoever invented this needs their ass ate. You guys ate and it is Lord-approved.

So which brown cleanser should you buy? If hydration is your main concern in terms of your skincare, I would probably go with the 1-0-2-5 focal cleanser. It's fortified with ceramides and hyaluronic acid designed to kind of maintain the lipid barrier of your skin. The texture of it is rich and foamy, and it does a really good job of cleansing the skin without over-stripping it. If you have active breakouts or if you have red, irritated skin, I would probably go with the Birch Juice cleanser. This cleanser is fortified with 17 different types of amino acids which are designed to reduce inflammation and help calm the skin down. More of a gel-like consistency. This one is more of a rich cream consistency. Both of these cleansers are actually very solid and suitable for all different skin types. Deciding between the two is just a matter of what your skin type already is.

Let's review these Round Lab moisturizers. A lot of you guys have been DMing me and requesting Round Lab, so here it is! Round Lab is overall a really good K-beauty brand. You might know them from their really viral sunscreen and their Dokdo cleansing foam. These two. They have a lot of award-winning products, and their formulas are generally great across the board. By the way, this is not sponsored. I bought this with my own money. And yeah, let's figure out which moisturizer fits your skin type. Okay, first let's review the moisturizer from the same line, the Dokdo cream. I reviewed this cream recently in my dry skin recommendations video. This one is like a softer, thick balm texture. It has shea butter, hyaluronic acid, panthenol, and sea water. It's definitely ideal for dry, sensitive skin types. It will really hydrate and soften your skin, and also help plump it up. Okay, now let's review the soybean nourishing cream. This one has like a fluffy, creamy texture. This one is ideal for combo to dry, sensitive skin, and probably better for mature skin. This cream has soybean seed extract, turmeric root extract, ceramides, and adenosine for anti-aging. It's hydrating, nourishing, with consistency, it will help reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines, and it helps boost elasticity. I actually like this one more than this one. Next is the mugwort calming cream. This one is more for the oily, sensitive, acne-prone skin types. It's like a gel cream with a little watery, lightweight texture. Notable ingredients are obviously mugwort and madecassoside. It's got like a cooling, soothing effect once it's on your skin. It absorbs fairly quickly, and it helps reduce inflammation and redness. I like this mugwort cream more than the I'm From mugwort cream, but the toner, I think the I'm From one is better than the Round Lab brand. Next is the pine cica cream. Also good for combo to oily, acne-prone, and sensitive skin. The packaging is already so much better than the tubs. Every cream should be in like a tube. It's got a lightweight gel, watery texture. It's got pine leaf extract, centella asiatica extract, and madecassoside. It also leaves like a dewy finish. Great for calming skin, and also helps with redness. They have an ampoule that is really popular. And last but not least is the burst juice moisturizing cream. In my opinion, this one is best for combo acne-prone skin that's also a little bit dehydrated. It's got like a blue color. It has a pretty watery, lightweight texture. It also has like a cooling feeling when you put it on your face. The texture is soft, and it also has these like collagen moisture capsules that you can't really see. Some notable ingredients are birch sap, panthenol, and hyaluronic acid, and I like this one out of all of these creams, to be honest. Anyways, that's it for Round Lab moisturizers. Let me know what else you want next.

I just woke up. I had to go get the doorbell because this just came. Why do I look like that? You guys have been asking me to review the Round Lab 1025 cleanser. You're the first thing I think about in the morning. Anyways, let's go see if we can revive this. Okay, I pulled up the product page. It's slightly acidic, which is what I always look for in all my cleansers. It has hyaluronic acid and ceramide NP, which is great for hydration. It's made with deep sea water. If you don't know deep sea water, I love it because it's supposedly the cleanest water and it's very rich in natural minerals. It's just great for my eczema flare-ups and sensitive skin. Big reason why I decided to review this is because the ingredient list was supposed to be super creamy and foamy. Off the bat, there's no fragrance. And as always, I'm going to do my 60-second cleansing method, which is just massaging in the cleanser for 60 seconds. This towel, my skin does not feel stripped or tight at all. My first thought is that there is definitely a cleaner radiance to my skin and there's no redness, so I know the cleanser is not irritating or inflaming my skin. My first impressions, I think this would be a great daily cleanser, especially in the mornings, because it really did revive and like refresh my morning skin. Only if you guys could see me. Wait, actually. I'll keep using it for a couple of days and I'll come back with updates, but I don't think I'll have any complaints.

This is one of the best moisturizers for people with oily, acne-prone skin. This is the Round Lab Birch Juice Moisturizer. It has birch juice, as the name reveals, but it also has a lot of great ingredients in it, like panthenol, lauric acid, and a bunch of other really good items. And what I like most about it is the finish of it. It doesn't leave the face too shiny, which I really like. It sinks into the skin and it layers really beautifully with other skincare, but it also layers really, really beautifully underneath makeup. Never broken out with this, which is one of the main reasons why I love it so much and I continue to repurchase it. I think the quality of the ingredients are really, really solid. It's a skin without being too heavy. And I think it is one of my all-time favorite K-Beauty products.

If you want the safest bets, start with the cleanser or mugwort items, but skip the cleansing oil and be cautious with the sunscreen.

This is my brutally honest opinion about every single Round Lab product. First things first, we have the Round Lab Dokto cleanser. Now I've spoken about this one on my page before. I absolutely love it for acne prone and sensitive skin. Makes me feel clean without stripping off my face completely. This actually used to be my day to day cleanser that I used every single day. So if you've been thinking about getting one that doesn't make you feel like you're literally just stripped your skin off of your face, but also make you feel like you still had a really good clean, then this would be the one. Up next, we have the Round Lab Dokto toner. Now this one has panthenol and allantoin, which are amazing ingredients for soothing and hydrating and calming really irritated, angry skin. Again, with toners, you got to be careful. Don't fall into the trap of buying 50 million toners and 50 million essences and all those things. You really don't need them. If you have really, really dry skin, a good toner and a good serum with ceramides in it will be amazing for your barrier and giving you back that hydrated, soothing look. So you don't really need 50 million toners, but this one would be a good choice if you wanted one. Up next, you have the birch juice sunscreen. Now I love this one, but it's kind of a meh for me. It's not off the top of my list. Like I wouldn't be like, oh, this is the best sunscreen ever, but it's also not the worst sunscreen out there. So this one's kind of an in-between situation for me. It does have a couple essential oils and some flower extracts. So if you are sensitive to that, please do not use it. A lot of people have said that it does sting their eyes as well. Again, the texture and the ingredient list is amazing, but with experience, it can differ. So this one's kind of a, you have to try it to see kind of situation. Up next, we have their cleansing oil. Now y'all already know how I feel about cleansing oils, so we don't even have to be here. This one has a lot of seed oils and essential oils. So if you are acne prone, if you're sensitive, if you're prone to irritation and inflammation, this one is definitely a no. Up next, you have the mugwort calming cleanser. This one is also amazing. It has a lot of soothing ingredients, panthenol, allantoin, madecassoside. It's really, really good if you want a really calming cleanser that doesn't irritate inflamed skin. And finally, we have their mugwort cream. Again, really, really soothing ingredients, panthenol, etc. You get the gist, but it also has a lot of centella and fruit extracts. So if you're sensitive to either of those or allergic to them, then don't use this one. If you want my brutally honest opinion on any other brands, comment the name below and I'll film a video just like this one.

If you want a light daily sunscreen with no white cast, this one sounds like a strong pick.

Does the viral Round Lab Birch Moisturizing Sunscreen from Korea live up to the hype? Because of its popularity, I got a ton of DMs asking me to review it, so I bought it with my own money, so let's go. This is an SPF 50 PA++++ moisturizing daily sunscreen, and it has a lot of ingredients I love, niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, two forms of vitamin C, and other natural anti-inflammatory ingredients like birch sap extract. It has a lightweight, watery cream texture, which I'd compare to the Isntree HA Watery Sun Gel. I love the ease of application and the finish, no white cast. It's also quite moisturizing. At $20 for 50 milliliters, it's similar in price to my other Korean favorites. So yes, this is worth the hype. If you want something that will help you protect your skin and brighten at the same time, you can't beat this formula. Find it on Amazon or Stylevana.
